Panerai Submersible Marina Militare 2025

Panerai's latest dive watch, the Panerai Submersible Marina Militare, is a collaboration between Panerai and the Italian Navy (Marina Militare is Italian for Italian Navy). Specifically, the Panerai Submersible Marina Militare is 44mm in size and comes in two versions: steel (model PAM01697) and carbon fiber (model PAM01698).  On the dial, the Panerai Submersible 1697/1698 features a deep green "granular" finish. This leather-like "granular" texture has been a popular dial decoration in recent years, and similar finishes are also used on Patek Philippe watches like the 5226 and 5326. The deep green dial gradually deepens in color from the center outwards. In terms of details, the small seconds markers are not only designed in a "sighting scope" style, but there is also an "anchor" pattern in the center of the dial. The biggest advantage of the Panerai P900 automatic movement is its thinness and long power reserve. At only 4.2 mm thick, the P900 movement is significantly thinner than the previous P9000/9010 movements, while maintaining the same 3-day power reserve and a stop-seconds function. This significantly reduces the overall thickness of Panerai watches. For Panerai, this movement replacement was absolutely necessary and perfectly timed.
